The Thousand Islands Country Club has had a very long and distinguished history. It all began back in the late 1800's when we were known far and wide as a palatial playground for some of the wealthiest families in America.

Situated on beautiful Wellesley Island, we're directly across from the resort village of Alexandria Bay in the heart of the fabled 1000 Islands. Thousand Islands features 36 holes of great golf, efficiency villa/suite lodging, Hacker's restaurant, a 100 slip marina, pool, tennis courts and a reputation for 1000 Islands hospitality that goes back over a hundred years.

One visit to the Islands leaves you with a desire to return year after year. From the pristine waters of the St. Lawrence River to the gilded castles and Victorian island mansions, you'll marvel at the unspoiled natural beauty of the area. An early explorer, sailing through the Islands in the 1600's, said it best: "This whole area is like a fairyland, that neither pen nor tongue of man may even attempt to describe."

Here's what makes National Golf Schools better:

• Our classes are never more than 4 students per PGA Pro for your morning session at the practice stations, and never more than 3 students per PGA Pro for your afternoon playing lesson.
• You get a playing lesson with your PGA Professional each and every day of your school.
• We use PGA Professionals who are highly skilled Instructors, who know how to teach and play this great game. Many have been former Tour Pros, Head Professionals, Teaching Professionals, and Directors of Instruction who were chosen by us for their passion to help others. Many are really fun, patient people at the top of their field who are great with everyone from beginners to accomplished players.
• You name the dates you want your school and we will honor them. You will have a school according to your schedule, not only ours.

Daily itinerary for National Golf Schools: Wellesley Island: Thousand Islands Country Club

• 9:00 -12:00: Practice stations for personal lessons with your PGA professional. We will also video tape your swing for a take home teaching analysis.
• 12:00 - 12:45: Lunch
• 12:45 - 3:00pm: On course play with your PGA Professional.
• 3:00 pm: Unlimited Golf
